2. Local storage and session storage
Homepage language preference also syncs through localStorage.
Tutorial dismissal and course-completion nudges use localStorage to avoid repeating the same overlay.
Public-visit tracking uses sessionStorage to avoid duplicate events during a single browser session after consent.
3. Consent model
Necessary cookies do not require opt-in because they support security, authentication, preview access, and storage of your consent choice.
Analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept analytics or save preferences with analytics enabled.
If you reject optional cookies, HackCode deletes the analytics visitor cookie and public marketing telemetry stops at the browser level.

Use the Cookie settings button available on public pages to reopen preferences and change the analytics choice at any time.
